I am really enjoying my puppy classes! I've been learning a lot, like how to walk on a lead/leash without pulling my mum - this week I had to do it without being distracted, which was hard because we did it outside and we all walked up and down the pavement, passing all the other dogs! I did really good.
Then we had to be called by our owners, which we have done indoors, but like I said we did a lot of outdoor work this week. I went straight away, no problems there!
Then all the dogs were allowed to play together in the grassy area, and the instructor uncliped our lead without us knowing, and our owner had to back away from the group and call us away from playing with our friends. Some dogs took longer than other dogs, but I went straght away, my mum didn't really need to call me! I was very proud of myself for paying attention so well!
We had to practice laying down, again, but this time we had to stay there for 5 seconds! I did pretty good, but I do need to work on that one.
We were taught to stand still while standing up, our owners put their fingers behind our neck in our collars, and put their arm in front of our back legs to keep us still. (In case a vet has to look at us) I did that pretty good, although the temptation was there to pee on Mum's arm just for fun!
The last thing we did, was let the instructors look in our eyes/ears/mouth and check out our paws. In previous weeks, our owners always did this.
